Proposal and Presentation Abstract ContentA proper review of your abstract requires that it contain adequate information on which to make a judgment. An abstract must be a fully self-contained, capsule description of the paper. Written in English and containing 235-450 words, paper proposals should include the following:
Objective/ Motivation/Scope(30-75 words): Summarize the objective and the scope of the work. Why do we care about the problem and the results? What problem are you trying to solve? What is the scope of your work upon which an accepted paper will be based upon field data, lab data, original analysis, or computer work? What is the domain or topic area that it is really applicable to?
Methods, Procedures, Process (75-100 words): Briefly explain your overall approach and application. How did you go about solving or making progress on the problem? What was the extent of your work? What important variables did you control, ignore, or measure?
Results, Observations, Conclusions (100-200 words): Summarize the results and major conclusions to be presented in the paper and state specific conclusions of the work and how these differ from previous work on the same subject. State whether new information will be revealed and whether data from field, lab, or computer work will be included. Any major restrictions or limitations on the results should be stated. What's the answer? What are the implications of your answer? What were the possible applications of the information provided in the paper? How it can be applied? Are your results general, potentially generalizable, or specific to a particular case?
